There were 79 entries in the April, 2002, tournament - a
tournament which featured interesting lane conditions.
Out of the 79 entries, only seven posted scores over the 1000 mark,
with Max Shellabarger of Roy, Utah, leading the way with a 1080 score.
With the added money by the Twin Falls Businessman's Association, it
was decided to cut the qualifying field to 18 - low score to qualify was 935.
In the STORM, Inc. bowling ball giveaway, Ron Hendricks of Fort Hall,
Idaho, won the Storm bowling ball, Zane Parris of Pocatello, Idaho won the Storm
bowling bag, and Willie Hainworth of Idaho Falls won the keychain.
We are looking for a great turnout at the Grand Finals - There is over
$1000 added money to the tournament, with first place slated to win $1000.
Everyone who participates in the Grand Finals tournament will get be on the
prize list - last year everybody got at least their entry fee returned.
There will also be a non-cashers tournament held in conjunction with
the regular Grand Finals. This tournament uses the first four games bowled for
additional prizes. If you are a qualifier, you will be notified in the Grand
Finals mailing.
Check out last year's prize list to
see how much everyone got back. We expect this year's prizes to be as good if
not better.
We would like to thank the staff of Bowladrome for their
great hospitality, and to Eddie Chappell of Bowladrome and the Twin Falls
Businessman's Association who generously added money to the SISBA
prize fund!
